Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.
Our work to achieve the goal:
We want to be a claimant partner and collaborate with customers and suppliers who share our values. In cooperation with our property companies, we want to work to ensure that the conditions for labor in the new productions we fund are acceptable and that there are controls and active positions against black wages, bribes and corruption. SBAB's supplier code of conduct covers SBAB's views and expectations of suppliers' sustainability efforts and compliance with international guidelines and principles.
An equal and inclusive workplace
For us is it obvious that all employees have the same rights, obligations and opportunities in all matters concerning the workplace. We want everybody to feel that they are seen, appreciated and respected for who they are. We are convinced that different experiences, skills, opinions, talents and backgrounds increase dynamics and innovation power. It enriches us as individuals and it enriches SBAB.
One of our goals is about equality between women and men in leading positions. To achieve our goal in this area, we work, for example, with an external benchmarking of our gender equality work, as well as the demands on our external recruitment partners regarding candidacy choices to achieve even gender distribution in recruitment to senior positions and specialist roles.
Equality and diversity should always be considered when recruiting. We strive to have working groups that reflect a variety in diversity regarding different experiences and backgrounds. Our employees must be able to combine work and parenting in a natural way. We want both men and women to perceive SBAB as an equal company. We regularly carry out payroll mapping to ensure that there are no systematic or unrealized pay differentials on SBAB.
We focus particularly on the targets:
8.1 Sustain per capita economic growth in accordance with national circumstances and, in particular, at least 7 per cent gross domestic product growth per annum in the least developed countries.
8.5 By 2030, achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men, including for young people and persons with disabilities, and equal pay for work of equal value.
8.10 Strengthen the capacity of domestic financial institutions to encourage and expand access to banking, insurance and financial services for all.
